Meet the Founder
ItsMe Custom Design is a new small business founded by Elizabeth Bartlett. Beth has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida. In addition to founding ItsMe, she is currently working on additively manufactured advanced materials for hypersonic research.
Our Purpose
Our objectives are to inspire creativity with technology and promote self expression.

While researching additive manufacturing for hypersonic applications, I learned that 1) 3D printing is a rapidly expanding industry, 2) 3D printing enables custom designs without expensive robotics or specialized tooling, 3) 3D printing extends manufacturing capabilities beyond manufacturing hubs to individual homes, and 4) 3D printing minimizes the shipping and storage requirements in the global supply chain.

Therefore, 3D printing will revolutionize industry, empower creatives, and promote self-expression. Ultimately, people will develop or purchase Computer Aided Designs (CAD), not manufactured products.

Our Process
First, we created Computer Aided Design (CAD) files using Blender, an open-source 3D visualization and animation software package. Next, we exported the designs as an unstructured triangulated surface in an STL file. The STL file was then opened with Ultimaker Cura, another open-source software package for slicing 3D CAD files. The CAD was sliced for manufacturing using a Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro, a user-friendly FDM printer. The sliced CAD was saved as a gcode file and transferred to the 3D printer using an SD card. Finally, the CAD was printed using rigid PLA filament or flexible TPU filament.
Our Products
Specialty product lines have been developed for easy customization using product configurators developed using Verge3D. The first specialty product line is Movables, furniture with wooden support structure and 3D printed accent and alignment beads. Our very first product and MVP in the Movables product line is an accent table designed with our Accent Table Configurator. The movables product line will be expanded to include a variety of furniture and home goods, enabling people to design their homes and lives. Future product lines will include Dream Dollhouse and Careative to inspire and empower the creativity in children.
